Patience
Endurance
noun, verbal noun
A spicy hug is a hug that feels not so great. But, it's not really painful all at once, either. As you're receiving a spicy hug, you just have to show patience and endurance while it lasts.
This is a jukugo word that uses the on'yomi readings of the kanji, but you haven't learned this for either 辛 or 抱 yet, so let's use a mnemonic to remember it:
Think about how much patience and endurance your shins (しん) need to have to be good at bowling (ぼう). You won't get any strikes with weak shins!
Note that the ぼう reading is the rendaku'd reading for 抱.
場違いだって思うかもしれませんが、私のためだと思って辛抱してください。
You may feel a little out of place, but please be patient for me.
