You pray with your thoughts, making this a prayer.
This is similar to 祈願, but can also be used in formal settings to express wishing for somebody's success or good health, among other things.
This is a jukugo word, which usually means on'yomi readings from the kanji. If you know the readings of your kanji you'll know how to read this as well.
