Palm Of One's Hand
Palm
independent noun
When you manipulate something, imagine you're doing it with your palm. You use your palm to manipulate the movement, and then you fine tune it further, all with your palm!
Something to note here is that you'll typically see palm in Japanese written as 手のひら. This kanji isn't as common but it does still mean the same thing.
Where is the palm of one's hand? It's on your 手のhere (てのひら). Right here. I point to my palm, and say "hand here, is where my palm was."
Another noteworthy thing about this kanji is it can be read as たなごころ. You won't see it read this way as often though so we're only teaching you the main reading.
